Cultura Inglesa Duque de Caxias is a validated course provider of the Trinity DipTESOL.
The Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages (DipTESOL) is an internationally acknowledged qualification for experienced teachers of ESOL/EFL. The DipTESOL is accepted by the British Council as a full English Language Teaching (or ‘TEFL’) qualification for teachers in its accredited teaching organisations in the UK and in its own teaching operations overseas.
Having the DipTESOL enables holders to have roles such as examiners, teacher educators and centre managers/directors of studies. The DipTESOL is regulated in England by Ofqual and registered at Level 7 on the Ofqual Regulated Qualifications Framework, the same level as master’s degrees and many other post-graduate qualifications.
The DipTESOL is equivalent to a Cambridge DELTA. In contrast to the DELTA, the Trinity DipTESOL provides more of a focus on phonology and the option to base your projects on your own particular context.

Very few spots for the upcoming course.
“I certainly feel I’ve become more aware of my lesson planning and of the choices I make as a teacher concerning the order of activities, the materials chosen, patterns of interaction, the importance of appropriate techniques and classroom management.”
Beatriz de Araujo Calheiros Teacher at Cultura Inglesa S/A
“When I started the course, I was about to start working as a teacher, so I did not have much experience and I felt quite insecure during teaching practice (TP). As the course was very practical, I was able to put into practice everything I had learned. I also had the opportunity to reflect after each of my lessons and consider the feedback received from the tutors and my classmates.”
Luan da Cunha Curvello D’Avila Teacher at Cultura Inglesa Duque de Caxias
“Throughout the course, I was able to see how much I have improved as a teacher, and now I am equipped with a great variety of teaching techniques. I believe before the course I was a good teacher because I was always concerned about my students’ needs. I now feel more confident and more prepared to help my students with their needs. I can already feel the difference in my classes and my students’ response.”
Juliana Aragão Teacher at Cultura Inglesa Belford Roxo
“This was not only a course for me, but also a journey. I joined the CertTESOL right after having graduated at Cultura Inglesa last year. At first, I felt rather intimidated, since most of the other trainees had some experience as teachers and knew a lot more about the English language and teaching techniques. As the course progressed, I found myself enjoying the experience and succeeding. With a great deal of help from the tutors and my classmates I managed to overcome my fears and finish this course, which I’m really proud of doing.”
